@BWLE:  Last summer I read some autobiographies by different women – Tina Fey, Shania Twain and Mindy Kaling. They were all excellent! Tina Fey’s and Mindy Kaling’s were really funny, and Shania Twain’s was more serious/sad. All three of Gillian Flynn’s books are AMAZING also, and two of them are being made into movies this year so if you want to read the books first maybe consider them.

I love everything by James Rollins. And those are excellent vacation books!

@BWLE:  How did you feel about Hunger Games? I ask b/c I started reading Divergent last night, and it’s really good and similar to HG.

Another book that I read recently that I really liked was Wonder by RJ Palacio. It’s YA and easy to read, but really good. I cried happy tears when I read it.

I don’t have the attention span for books, so I really liked Ray Bradburrys collection of short stories!

I know you said fiction – but I’m going to throw out the book I just read on the beach “The Astronaut Wives Club.” It about the NASA space race in the 1960’s but from the perspective of the wives. Really interesting.

A fiction series I love is the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. Can’t wait for the newest book to come out! And Stars in making it into a series.

I also really enjoy all the Philippa Gregory books: Particularly the Cousins War series and the Tudor Court series.

@MrsNewDay:  LOVE the Divergent trilogy!  Really good!

@BWLE:  Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas is one of my favorite romances.  There are two sequels, too.

ANYTHING by Jen Lancaster, I love her memoirs they are laugh out loud funny! I haven’t read the fiction yet, but I’m sure they will be just as good.  I started with Such a Pretty Fat, but Bitter is the New Black, is amazing too

I also love all of the Malcome Gladwell books, Blink and Outliers are really interesting!

@BWLE:  Her books aren’t wedding-themed, but Susanna Kearsely is my new favorite author.  She writes romance novels (usually set somewhere in the UK), that are a cross between historical and contemporary fiction.  Most of them feature a romantic storyline set in the past and a parallel one set in the present.  If you give it a go, I’d recommend starting with my favorite, The Winter Sea.

@fancymichelle:  I just started reading the first one last night and already hooked. I didn’t want to arrive at work b/c I was so into the book while commuting!

@edgebee:  J-Lan is the best! I love her memoirs, and she should stick with memoirs instead of fiction IMO. I met her twice on her book tours, and she’s awesome/really nice to her fans.

OP – If you go the Jen Lancaster route, I second “Bitter is the New Black!”

I’m on the third book of the Divergent trilogy now. I wanted to read the first before the movie and I couldn’t stop!

@IzzyBear:  About to pee my pants I’m laughing so hard at work. I keep having to turn my laughter into a cough so that my boss won’t know I’m reading this hilariousness.

Beyonce. Dying.
