We have the same problem–Our dresses are from the 2010 collection of Maggie Sottero. I am wearing Lillian. It is going to take some time before there are real brides.

hi cj….

i also am a maggie “denise” bride!! i will post pics as soon as i can! you look amazing!!!! i love the way denise hugs to the curves in all the right spots…thats why i fell in love with her! πŸ™‚

have you done any fittings yet? i’m asking because i’m starting the process, and i really want something creative for the bustle!! everyone seems to want to just tack the bustle up to the bottom of the corset with the train embellishment. but…i don’t want it just “hanging” on my butt!! hehe… so, curious if you’ve had yours done yet and what you went with!

woohoo for maggie dresses!!!!

WooHoo!! Denise was MORE than amazing at my wedding and everyone LOVED her!! especially my DH!! i don’t have my pro photos yet…but i thought i would post a pic of her on my final fitting. i will post some pro ones when i get them!

…and i also posted the version of bustle that we came up with (not the final fitting tho so not completed and clearly not steamed yet!!) i finally “let go” of the lower embellishment and i LOVED it!! my seamstress must have tried 10 different versions (trying to keep the embellishment) and was an angel to do so many pinnings!! but, we got something that i loved and that wasn’t just the ‘tacked to my butt” look i didn’t want!

when are you starting your fittings? btw…denise was HOT up under there!! hehe

Girls!!! You must read this!

I just joined this group soley to comment on this post. I also have Denise….well she is being made and is amazing! the best way to hook the bustle up is to get the part on the train with the beads etc and pull it over to the side that has the matching beads and hook it there. It is where its suppose to sit and it makes the back fall in a perfect line to the front and then the beads all match up and sit on the side together. Does that make sense.

This is the best spot to make it sit.

Hope this helps everyone. Let me know if it doesnt make sense and I will try to explain it better

I am also a Maggie Denise bride! I ordered the dress in light gold, which is like a light-med champagne color, with white accents, it’s gorgeous.  I saw it in the bag when my mom showed it to me, and i was like “ew not that color!” when i tried it on, i fell in love! it’s perfect for my skin tone, i looked terrible in bright white, and there’s no way i would buy silver (not for me!)

Now my issue is shoes! I’m hoping to get a color swatch when it comes in, so i can match my hubby’s vest/tie etc. too.

Hi girls!!  I’m a Denise bride too and absolutely love my dress!! I have already been married, as i’m assuming you all may be too, but I just thought I would post some pics of my dress on our big day!!  Denise is the most amazing dress ever and I am still totally in love with it!!

I bustled mine by getting the detail on the bottom hooked up directly to the back of the dress near my tailbone.  It sat really well and created a gorgeous feature at the back of my dress!!

Here is also a link to our wedding on the Queensland Brides website (a big magazine in Australia) with some more pics!
