@Hiswife2be:  There are lots of ways to preserve fresh flowers if you decide to go with that option. My mom’s bouquet is pressed between the pages of the family Bible. My aunt’s is dried and put inside one of those clear Christmas ornaments. A friend’s grandma has petals from hers (from 1959) in with some potpourri in a jar… Lots of options out there.

Of course, if you use silk flowers (or paper flowers, or whatever), then you can display them in your home for years to come. It’s all down to what you want.

my mother’s bouquet is preserved in a shadowbox-like frame. it used to hang in the hallway upstairs, outside of the bathroom. now, i think it’s in their bedroom somewhere.

i’ll probably preserve mine somehow. i like the idea of having it in a frame and hanging it in the bedroom with our wedding photo and things like that.
