I read that article yesterday. Disgusting. I don’t even understand how a book saying those things could be published. I already hated her (my mom is a HUGE fan of ALL the Real Housewives, so I watch them when I’m with her), but now the hatred is even more so. Both she and her husband are deplorable human beings! Although I do feel like she is a victim, on some level.

I don’t like it.

I can see women wanting to be ‘taken’ and feel super desired. Hair pulling, rough, aggressive, whatever. But a woman, even a wife, has the right to say no.

I also don’t like how she makes it seem like every woman has to be sexy and put together all the time. I’m sorry, but it isn’t my job to keep my husband from cheating. That is a vow he took. That is his own responsibility. If I have to aggressively work to prevent him from cheating then I’d really rather not be with him.

I think this is so sad.  It’s almost as if she’s been brainwashed by him.

I cant read the article but she is gross. I watch all the housewives shows and she is one of my least favorites.

I can understand many of her points but I wish they would have edited it better to get her point across less offensively.

I agree with her point about still dressing up for your husband.  Of course I am already a girlie girl and I think it would be awful if I turned in my heels and lip gloss for sweatpants permanently after I get married.  I equate it to if after we get married my SO starts gambling compusively or spending tons of time with guy friends, or anything that he doesn’t currently do as we are dating that would have made me think twice about dating him in the first place.  But if I don’t do it to keep him from straying but because I want to feel good about myself and if he likes looking at it then even better.

I also am around a couple that has issues regarding masculine and feminine energy and I think it is a valid point.  Although I don’t think doing one load of dishes or changing a diaper is going to turn him feminine I can respect the fact that they apparentally are in agreement about their expectations of eachother.

Part of my views may be because in my area there are men that not only expect their wives to work 40 hours a week but also come home and do everything that Melissa is expected to do.

@adoc86:  +1. I believe both people should make an effort but I don’t think my husband should use a sweat pants day as an excuse to cheat on me. Give me a break 😛

It saddens me that this woman has a daughter, and this sexist thinking will inevitably be passed down to her.

Wow… While I do agree with some points (the whole maintenence sex thing) and putting in effort, the rest is just, scary and sad 🙁

Nauseating, degrading and much more. Joe Gorga has a Napoleon complex. Those 2 make me want to vomit.
