Does anybody else feel like the train on the Lorie isn’t long enough? I bought it but am now having regrets because I wanted a more dramatic train!!

Here is a link to my photographer’s blog of our wedding! There are only a few pictures as of right now, but she is adding more every day as she finishes editing them. If you look at the picture of me and my bridesmaids, it looks like the dress is too short. This was only because the girls were so close to me, they were actually pulling my dress up and I didn’t realize it!  So that’s my only warning to eveyone. Just make sure to “fluff” your dress before a new set of pictures so it falls where it’s supposed to be.

@MrsCreeToBe:  Yes, I agree. The train is short compared to other dresses. I will have to say though, it worked perfectly for my venue. If we would have picked a more formal venue or church for the ceremony, I would have definitley wanted a longer train.

@MrsCreeToBe:  I have the same feeling but then I look back on pictures and I think it will lbe okay and look great! I think it’s natural for us to second guess ourselves. I am wearing the capsleeves and i cant decide on sash. Everyone looks so pretty in there dress. I just bought my Lorie last week and I’m loving this page to see everyone in there dress! Ill post a picture of the dress on me when I can figure out how to upload photos. I’m on my phone so maybe that’s why?

@MrsCreeToBe:  I felt that way too and I’m also second-guessing myself!  The saleswoman I worked with suggested that I could get a chapel length veil, which would give a visual illusion of a longer train.  I keep going back and forth — On one hand, I want a longer train because I feel like it feels more “bridal” that way.  On the other hand, I’m pretty sure the thought of dragging all that material on the ground behind me behind me as I’m walking down the aisle (we’re having an outdoor wedding) will drive me nuts.

@shannon-jason62213:  You’re pictures are gorgeous!  I’m SO jealous of your bouquet.  It’s almost exactly what I wanted and didn’t quite get.  boo!  Your Lorie is beautiful too.  🙂

Lorie brides show me the back of your dress with a sash sewn in…

Those that have purchased a belt with bling. I’m trying to decide…. Did you sew the belt into the corset with bling all around or have bling almost all the way around then ivory sash sewn into corset??

I’m worried there will be too much going on with the corset back.

@kayleesamford13:  Thank you so much! It was a french bustle. My seamstress just put coordinating “ties” under the dress and attched to different points on the train. (underneath.) It was super easy for my bridesmaids to figure out, and best of all, it never came undone once throughtout the night. Even with all my crazy dancing. 🙂

@bluebelle23:  Thank you so much! I lucked out with my florist. She did an amazing job. She literally just looked on my pinterest page to see what kind of things I liked, and drew up a proposal based on that!

I wore Maggie Sottero Lorie dress – had a few alterations done to make it “my own” but was VERY happy with the end result … I paired this dress with a drop veil and Christian Louboutin heels .. what do you think?
