@LucyDiamond:  I love my husband’s facial hair, but he has a short, yet full beard.  I’m not a fan of the chinstrap look either.

@LucyDiamond:  My SO looks best with just a goatee. However, thanks to the lovely men he works with, they have decided to have a beard growing contest. I do NOT like him with a beard AT ALL.

And to top it all off, we are going to see my parents next weekend — for the purpose of him asking my dad’s permission. Needless to say, he is going to look like a hoodlum.

@LucyDiamond:  Lucky for my my SO is in the military and is REQUIRED to trim and maintain 😉 I second the trim strap opinion..it is not my cup of tea!

My FI stays clean shaven. He has super light hair and I think facial hair would look funny on him at this stage in his life. I wouldnt mind if he decided to try something new later on, but I trust his taste. IF he tried to do the chin strap thing (which he never would because he thinks it is trashy) I would tell him I hate it and won’t touch him till he shaves it.

@arsing89:  Just ask him to shave! Looking respectable when he meets your father is way more important than a childish contest.

Just saw the poll, and I guess I like somewhere between 5 o’clock shadow and a beard.

@MlleDarcy:  He’s met my dad, and I’m pretty sure every time he has met my dad, he has had some sort of facial hair. I’m probably just being a crazy person, but I really think he may propose while we are back there as well. I would rather be proposed to when he isn’t looking like Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty.

@LucyDiamond:  haha, he used to have full beard and he made goatee when there was something “special” – big presentation etc. I didn’t understand because his full beard was amazing (even some of my male frends envy) but I wasn’t crazy about his goatee. Probably it’s just my taste. I never saw a goatee that looks great on anyone. Anyway, one day I asked him, “You have such a beautiful beard but why are you making goatee when there’s something big? Do you think you need to make you look less handsome to make people focus on your work rather than your face?” – it was my honest question but he was shocked because he believed goatee gave him a professional look. And he asked me what are my preferences and I answered him “well, you look great whatever you do but I prefer full beard look. And honestly, I’ll kiss you more if you clean shave because your beard hurts my face a little.”

His face has been clean shaved mostly 🙂

My DH looks like a Duck Dynasty extra, so my opinion is a little biased, but I like love facial hair on men. Just my thang, I guess.

I loooove beards, especially my FI’s handsome beard. My friends used to tease me for being obsessed with beards and sure enough, the first bearded guy I dated, I’m marrying! Lol. Gratuitous honey with a beard picture:

I love 5-10 day stubble on my man and so does he. I just don’t like clean shaven because it makes him look too childish and I don’t like full beard because it’s too grizly bear lol.

We both agree that chin straps automatically make you look like a douche.

My husband is a sensitive dude.  He only shaves once or twice a week, but he will do it if we’re going to visit my parents.  🙂

I am not a fan of the chinstrap – you have to have the right shape face and even then you look like a douche.

I’ve threatened my husband with a razor in his sleep before – he came home from a business trip with a ridiculous tuft of hair under his lip (soulpatch/flavor saver).  “You shave it or I do – your choice.”  Oh and there was one year the guys at his work decided to grow mustaches.  Oh he looks like a CREEP.  That had to go, too.

lol DH is just a lazy shaver.  He looks SOOO hot when he’s clean shaven, but apparently shaving is just way to difficult.  His facial hair doesn’t grow very fast, so he’ll go weeks without shaving and it drives. me. nuts!! I love him to death, but when he doesn’t shave for a while, he looks dirty.

He did beg me to “let him” grow a baby beard.  Like a play-off beard, but worse because it would be 9 long months!  I shot down that idea.

I love beards! just not super long Duck Dynasty beards. I actually do not like ANY kind of goatee thing though.

my friend’s dad had a super long beard…he called it “The Thigh Tickler” ewwwwwwww.
