glad you made another thread about this, because I would have felt weird posting in the other thread! Congratulations! I'd be pouncing on my husband and waving that urine-soaked thing all around.
thanks lady!
I feel like sleep is precious, so I'm keeping it to myself for as much longer as I can....4:30am now. I think at 5:00am I will walk the dog (as I often do) and then come back and make DH a coffee (as I often do) and serve it with the stick and a big smile!!!!!!!
@cvbee: Awwww, congrats! I think the way you described telling him is super sweet!
Just did 'due date calculator based on conception' and it says May 19 and that I'm on week 3 and 6 days.
Yay! I knew you had to get an answer soon. So glad it's the one you wanted!
@winniewolf: DPO is a very good question still. I suppose the answer might have to wait until the doctor testing, if that is that exact. My guess is 15DPO. If it was the later temp rise that would only be 8 or 9 DPO and the chances are pretty slim to get a positive off that. I've been quite suspicious that I was pregnant for 6 or 7 days.
Yay! Congrats!!
Loooove how you told the new daddy-to-be! I wouldn't have been able to wait! I would've woken my hubby up immediately!
Thanks ladies. I was pretty sure I was and we had been talking about it. Even just the night before, DH was talking about where in the room we'll put the basinet. cute :)
That is awesome news and such a great way to tell him! And how was the interview?
Thanks @PastMoo.
The interview was a bit of a crazy day. Well, first of all the interview went sooo great. My friend prepped me and it was honestly one of my very best interviews. I was confident and provided detailed answers.
But then, I started realizing after the interview that I didn't actually want the job. It was a part time job that was going to end only about 2 months before my due date. And it was going to be okay for the first 2 months, and then for the next 4 months it was going to be only an hour of work per day. (teacher) Worse still, that hour a day would prevent me from picking up supply teaching work. I would actually be financially better off supply teaching. And then I started to add up how many hours of work I need before maternity leave, and it was going to leave me really scrambling. I got so stressed out about it. I was doing lots of crying. I am the kind of person who values commitments and I felt bad that I had applied for and interviewed for this job and then was going to have to turn it down. I was also scared this was going to burn bridges.
In the end, I didn't get the job, which was both a surprise and a relief.
So it looks like this school year is going to be a race to get enough supply teaching work to qualify for maternity leave benefits. Here's hoping for the best!
@cvbee:Wow, that must have been really stressful realizing that. In that case--congrats on not getting the job! AND the BFP!

Woke up at 3:30am and tested in the dark. BFP! I looked at it and thought: I knew it.
DH is still sleeping. Do I tell him now? Naw. I have kept him very informed about all my TWW thoughts. The test is still sitting beside the toilet. I'm sure he'll see it when he wakes up...or I could hide it and figure out how to tell him 'creatively'.
I have an interview this morning though, so that will/should distract me (unfortunately not for a full time job, but hopefully I can figure out if it's the right job for my situation......I need work hours to build up for EI).
I definitely have felt way different in my lower abdomen: cramps like a period for a week now.
It's 4 am and I'm not sure what I should be doing now. Go to sleep? Prep for my interview? Try to figure out how we are going to pay for our life as of May? I'll start by drinking some water and taking my vitamins.
