We are taking our engagement pics this Thursday and I am REALLY nervous about taking them! I should be getting my period (sorry tmi) this week as well and I usually BLOW up during that time. On top of that FI isn’t that photogenic and can make some awkward faces (not on purpose).
Was anyone else nervous about their e-pics (I’m feeling a little crazy and I can’t even imagine how nervous I’ll be for the actual day if I’m this nervous for a little photo session)? Do y’all have any good remedies for bloating?

Awe hugs to you! We just did ours too and I have some selfesteem issues I just tried to relax and be myself, and smile honestly…. If you pretend to smile it shows. Maybe try to joke around with you FI that will help keep you relaxed. Your love will shine through! Xo

I was super nervous before mine but they turned out great! Its been a year and a half and my photographer still has some of our epics on her “favorites” section of her website 🙂 Just remember that they are professionals and is is there job to get the best pictures of you possible! Both my DH and I aren’t very photogenic but we had frames at every table with our epics as part of our centerpieces- and our guests loved them. Just have fun with your FI and the pictures will turn out great!

No salt or caffiene for the couple days before hand! You’ll be fine, I’m sure you have a great photographer who will know just how to make you two look perfect!!!

Thanks! It’s good to know that I’m not crazy! It’s so hard for me to stay away from salt and caffeine (I have at least 2-3 cups of coffee a day), but going to try my best! Also thinking about maybe continuing on my birth control and just skipping my period this month, but FI is against that idea

Caffeine is a diuretic, so actually that wouldn’t cause bloat. Salt will though! I think some PMS meds (ie Midol) are supposed to help bloat, so you could try that too. I do continuous with my BC, it’s no biggie but the first few times you do it you often get breakthrough bleeding. The bloating is probably pretty subtle and nobody but you would notice. I wouldn’t worry about it 🙂
