@jennygrl070:  Did you have tracking? If you haven’t heard back within a week about how the seller will handle it (send a replacement, refund, etc) I would ask for a refund. If she gives it to you, leave decent feedback… might not have been her fault at all and if she handled it professionally that’s what’s important!

@jennygrl070:  The fact that she replied so quick is reassuring in itself. Stuff happens, let the seller have some time and if she doesn;t do anything ask for a refund or replacement, that’s when you see whos a scammer!

@jennygrl070:  I’ve ordered from ETSY before and I haven’t had that problem. I do make sure though that I get an order number so I can track it.

You should be able to track your order right from your purchases page on etsy.

When you pay for something on etsy, tehnically the seller doesn’t even get your payment information. You pay etsy and etsy pays the seller so theoretically if the item never comes, it shouldnt be too hard to get it dealt with!

Does the item have to go through customs by any chance? That can make the time increase a fair bit sometimes, depending on the item.

I would definitely track it and see where it is!

Etsy is kind of like ebay. Each seller is different. Having one order work out fine from Etsy doesn’t mean that another one will considering the entire responsibility falls onto the seller & not Etsy.

It is possible to get scammed. It happens, a lot, on Etsy. I wouldn’t automatically assume this is the case since there are a lot of issues that can come up that is not in anyone’s control.

I am assuming you paid via paypal — If you did, and if the product never comes and if the seller doesn’t make it right with you, you have 45 days to open a paypal dispute with the seller in order to correct the issue. After 45 days there is nothing you can do except leave poor feedback.

Sometimes things get lost in transit, sometimes they get lost in packaging facilities. I was working through Etsy (With someone I knew personally, granted) to order a sign. The sign was shipped, I had a tracking number, but the package never left the accepting facility. For two and a half weeks it sat in the original USPS office. A quick call from the seller to the post office and it got here right as rain (after being delivered to my neighbor.)

Let the seller try to fix it first.

@jennygrl070:  This happened to me a couple of years ago when I ordered a necklace. I think I left it about a month coz it was coming in from overseas. I emailed and they seemed shocked as yours did so they gave me a refund. I was annoyed coz I wanted the necklace but glad I got refunded! Hope it works out for you!
