I love pickles. I love kale chips. Recently however, I’ve run across this problem that’s really annoying me. I eat a pickle. Don’t love it as much as I used to, but it doesn’t turn my stomach (like my formerly beloved migas breakfast taco did yesterday). However, about 30 minutes later, I start burping, and the burp tastes like pickles. Gross. Same with kale chips.
If don’t eat just as the nausea is setting in, it gets worse and I don’t want to eat. Few things are sounding good these days, and two of my favorites are now out of running. I guess I’ll just live on baked potatoes.
Anyone else have food issues they weren’t expecting?

I can’t be anywhere near ground beef (or any ground up meat). Ugh, even thinking about it makes my stomach churn. I used to LOVE anything with ground beef too. blech!

@BoiledPNut: I understand! I was cooking some last week and had to walk away. I still ate it, but seeing it raw/smelling it cook was way too much.

I can’t do fast food right now. None of it. It makes me sick. Soda too, I don’t want it! Coffee has been smelling like farts lately….lol….
I was a bacon fiend. Not so much right now.
Everything else I am good on, I have been eating apples like crazy. Pickles….I can go through a jar in a day. I think its the vinegar honestly… husband and I went to an italian place where they had oil and vinegar to dip our bread in, I was enjoying that alittle tooooo much, sucking on the bread….The husband has been finding this to be very amusing. I don’t see whats funny. Just feed me.
Mustard too…gotta have it.

It took 5 months before I could tolerate even the smell of bacon, and that’s still touch and go. Actually eating it is even iffier (although the thought/smell doesn’t send me running to the bathroom anymore).
I LOVED bacon.
ETA: In the first trimester I could barely eat anything. Meat and poultry were definitely out. Anything with any spice was out. I lived on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and oatmeal, and occasionally buttered noodles–no sauce at all). I was so excited the day I was able to eat a taco.

Natural peanut butter made me gag. Even now any peanut butter I can’t stand and my girls love PB sandwhiches. I loved Slurpees though. 🙂

I can’t look at raw bacon either. I can eat it if it’s cooked pretty well done, but no thanks otherwise!
@Cady: I want some pickles now! lol

@bluewolverine: man that sucks about pickles (I love pickles!). I haven’t gotten adversions, really, just missing the stuff I can’t have! I love a cold cut sandwich or some sushi (every weekend!). So that transition hasn’t been fun.
