I could really use your help if you have a sec. I’m having trouble deciding between nude or silver shoes for my bridesmaids. 3 Bridesmaids are wearing J Crew Arabelle in Coral and 2 are wearing a slightly different J. crew dress that’s no longer up on the site in Graphite:
I can’t decide whether to put my bridesmaids in nude or silver shoes…what do you think? Some of my bridesmaids like silver and some like nude so that’s no help haha. My dress is karena Royale ivory over champagne. I’m removing the sash because it’ll clash with my bridesmaid colours for sure. Your help would really be appreciated!!
Thanks so much

I would pick nude shoes simply because they would both look nice and I’d be very likely to wear them again. Personal opinion though. I think both would look great with the dresses.

I think nude. It’s classier.

yes! Thanks ladies. My first impulse was nude and then I changed it because my mom though silver was better (ah wedding decisions). So I think I will go with that. I also think it’ll go better with the champagne over ivory dress. Thanks for your help!

Nude has alot more potential to wear again for most ladies

Nude. same as PPs, more potential to wear again, especially if it’s a pump. I can’t think of a single occasion I’d wear silver shoes to. My only dress heels are black, and I pick my formal attire with that in mind.

My FSIL’s wedding colours are actually very similar to yours. She’s doing light pink and gray. I say go for the nude shoes. She requested we wear silver and it looks pretty awful with our dresses.

Songstress_7: I think you could let them individually pick which color (silver or nude) they wanted to wear and it would look nice. As long as the shoes are all the same shade/tone (ie: all light, all dark) it won’t be that noticeable. If you’re not into that idea, and you want them all to have the same color shoes, I’d go with nude. I think nude would look nice with both coral and graphite dresses, but silver shoes would look better with graphite than with coral.
EDIT: I was in my cousin’s wedding nearly six years ago and she requested that we wear silver shoes, which I was happy to do. I bought a pair of silver satin pumps, wore them once for her wedding, and literally just sold them on eBay yesterday…probably to another bridesmaid somewhere. 😉

Thanks for your help, ladies! i did opt for nude and it looks great with my sister’s coral dress. I haven’t seen it with the graphite yet but it’s a neutral so it can’t look that bad I figure. The nude goes way better with my champagne ivory dress too 🙂

Good call on the nude shoes! Especially since that’s a color that’s lot easier to wear even after the wedding.
