I ordered my dress at Kleinfeld in August and I’ve been on a diet and have lost about 10 lbs. Part of me really wants to go visit it (the sample) and try it on again right now but I’m kind of scared to go. I don’t know. It’s not really about dress regret because I love my dress but I’m worried that I’ll still look fat in it and I’ll get really disheartened about my diet. Also, part of the reason for wanting to go is because I’m working on accessories and I want to go look at some veils with it and take a look at the color (it’s ivory).
Should I wait until my dress comes in or should I go and be prepared to not look as good in it as I want to?

I say wait for your dress to come in. I know its a very hard thing to be patient but allow yourself time to get to the weight you want. That way when you see your dress you can feel stunning! But I bet your stunning even now 😉
I was a bad girl and tried on my dress in the store 2 times before my order came…I had to “figure out if i wanted a veil, etc etc” hahaha Your reason is legitimate…mine was not haha

I think going to visit the sample is win-win – you’ll either be super excited about all of the progress you’ve made toward looking how you want to in the dress, or you’ll get a little extra motivation to stick with your diet (which was always the case for me when I visited mine) 🙂 Plus, making accessory decisions is so much easier if you can try them on with the dress.

Wait until your dress comes in. It feels so good trying on a dress that is yours. Besides samples are dirty and some are damaged etc…

If it were me I’d definitely go and try it on with veils. You already know you’re not at your weight goal yet so don’t focus on that aspect at all. Instead cherish seeing your beautiful dress again and enjoy putting together a complete look with accessories. On your wedding day you can feel extra good about looking your best.

I’ve gone to “visit” my dress 2 times since I ordered it…go for it!

I am kind of in the same boat as you. I am working to get in shape before my wedding and lost a few pounds since initially purchasing my dress. I checked in on it to try it with my shoes. Even though I’m not at the weight I want to be for my wedding I still felt great in it and it was good to see it again!
