I spent around $1500 for (12 centerpieces for the tables, 3 extra floral arrangements (for fire place, ceremeony, dessert table) my bouquet, the bm's bouquets (5 girls total), the boys bouts, crosages for the) moms/grandams, rose petals).. You should be okay. I was married in the Hudson Valley and spent around $1,000—$2,000 should be enough for 10 centerpieces, bouquet, etc.
The only place where it might not be enough is if you have a lot of bridesmaids and need a lot of bouquets and/or buttonieres, etc. $2,000 is normally in the low/minimum end for NYC florists, but you should be okay.
It does depend on what kind of flowers you want though.
Thanks for the fast answers! AY,I have 2 BM, 2 GM, 2 Jr GM/BM so a pretty small wedding party. I think we coudl go up to $2500 and I am 100% on board with in season (which means lots of green and white for December) with the exception of my bouquet. I'm going to roll the number out to my florist next week and see what she says!
Talk about what you want and have her give you a quote instead of giving her the budget right away, because they'll price up to it, if you know what I mean. If you have to give a budget, start with say, $2000, to see what you can get.
My budget for my NYC wedding was 2k, but I told my florist 1k..so they think I 'settled' with $1500, but really I knew I could spend more...start low!

Hi!! I'm hoping someone can give me a ballpark figure flower budget for a 100 person wedding in Manhattan. I have $2k budgeted but am not sure if that's good, bad, ridiculous, plenty etc. I'll admit I am one of those ppl who needs to know a baseline before saying what I'm thinking to our vendors:) I MIGHT have more to put towards it (they are important to me) but I just dont know what a good budget is that the florist would be happy to work with and I won't feel like anyone is doing me a favor. We need 10 centerpieces, some various things around the venue (guest book table and definitely the dessert table, etc). I can't find ANYTHING online that is specific to NYC. Other prices out there make me weep that we don't live in another part of the country!
