Hi all –
Flowers aren’t really high on my list of important items for the wedding, so I’ve been debating DIY-ing them. My plan was to have spider mums in a simple centerpiece and for the bouquets.
I’m starting to second guess myself as far as the DIY goes, just for timing the few days before (I’ll be travelling in from DC).
Does anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive florist that may work for my needs?

I just had my wedding on 8/28 and I’m checking back in here to do some vendor reviews in hopes that it will help other brides. The florist I worked with was Anice Arvidson from Fiddlehead Flowers. She works within any budget, and typically works with budget-minded brides (for example, she told me where I could go to buy the cheapest votive candles for my tables and she was right on, rather than asking me to rent them for a higher price from her). She works out of her house so her costs are pretty low, and she’ll definitely do an event downtown and meet you downtown if that’s where you’re located (she just did my wedding at the James). Her arrangements were FANTASTIC. I highly recommend her. Let me know if you’d like her contact info because I’m not sure if she’s on the internet. She might be a strictly word of mouth type operation.

@MindyLeigh: I would absolutely appreciate her contact information. I was doing to go the DIY route, but I’m starting to question how much time I will have.
