I'm sorry I don't have a place for you to go, but have you tried going onto the Chamber of Commerce website and looking for possible restaurants? Then you could Google the location and see if there are good or bad reviews.
I just got engaged a week ago and we are trying to find the right place for us. We have a smaller budget so spending $2,000 for a venue is out of the question. So far all the Colorado rustic looks are just too pricey :(
Have you thought about getting married at a local park? That's often an affordable solution, and many parks have community centers to accomodate a reception.
I do however think that the restaurant idea would be fine, or even just get together and have a backyard BBQ. It can be as formal or informal as you like. Be creative!

This is perfect, except price not listed online:

Thanks for the suggestions! I think we are going to try to find a local restaurant to gather after the wedding. We are only going to have about 20 people. We are also buying a house so for the people that are not able to attend, or if they just want to come again, we will have a home warming / reception after the wedding.
We got married at Marys Lake Lodge and had our reception there too. You could check into the Twin Owls Steakhouse (or maybe it's called the Twin Owls Lodge & there's a steakhouse attached). They have a garden room that's very intimate.
We went to a wedding at Sylvan Dale Ranch [http://www.sylvandale.com/weddings/wedding_main.html] , near Estes Park, two weeks ago. What a gorgeous spot! Its in Loveland. They have great indoor and outdoor spaces and we had so much fun (As guests) staying at the ranch. I found myself wishing that I'd had a destination wedding here! The staff were all fun and not as "ranchy" as I had expected - very pleasant and friendly, but also polished.
i dont know what your budget is exactly but there isa new venue Della terra mountain chateau and is has amazing pricing as its grand opening pricing. the limitedpictures do not do it justice it is like being in a castle. check it out

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I am looking for a reasonably priced location for a reception in Estes park. We are getting married at Sprague Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Forest (absolutely beautiful location). However, we were planning on it only being us and a few other people (like 5) and we were just going to go to dinner somewhere in town afterwards to celebrate. Now the whole thing is getting larger and we may have up to 20 people. I am looking for somewhere to have a small reception that is not too expensive because of course this is an additional cost we had not planned on. I wouldn’t mind finding a restaurant or something that could accommodate us. Does anyone here have any suggestions??
