I haven’t done this, but it sounds really cute! Are you going to get a really cute scrapbook and put a reason in it a day? Or just a piece of notebook?

AM1203:  Your welcome.  Wish I thought of it 33 yrs. ago -before we were married.  Maybe I will start it this November after our 32nd wedding anniversary -for our next anniversary.  It’s such a beautiful idea, and probably the nicest wedding gift a man could receive from his new bride!

Yes!

I bought folded business cards on Vista Print. Then I planned out dates I wanted to give them out. Like 100 days til the wedding, 3 months to go, our old dating anniversary, when he went away for a business trip, when he completed a big project, etc. I didn’t actually find time to hit every single one of these, but I did pretty good. Then for the last 20 days before the wedding, I wrote him a card for each one.

For the earlier ones, I would write something about that date. Like a memory from our first date, or good luck on your busniess trip! etc.

Then for the last 20 days I sat down a thought about the different aspects of him that I love to brainstorm. Like his personality, his smile, his loyalty, his passion and ambition, his sense of humor, etc. Then also things I love to do with him like go on walks, or road trips, or go to the ocean, or cook, etc. After a while of brainstorming I had 20 topics. The nice thing about the business card is you only get in a few senenteces per card so there’s not too much pressure.

Then the most fun part! Delivering them! I’d slip most of them in his wallet. Some I’d leave on his nightstand or in his lunch. It’s fun.

He taped them all together so they are like this accordian book now. It’s super cute.

Here’s the cards: http://www.vistaprint.com/design/FLB-17858/orange-heart-folded-business-cards.aspx

AM1203:  Yay! I hope you have fun doing it! Sometimes wedding planning got so stressful and this really helped me remember that the whole point to it is spending the rest of my life with the man I love and no one cares if the color blue in the programs matches the color blue of the bridesmaids dresses. lol!

Another tip – I wrote out all my notes in a word document before I wrote them on the cards. That way, if one of those little things ever gets lost, I’ll always have the electronic copy.

AM1203:  thank you for posting this thread. FI is in Germany, I’m back home. We won’t see each other in months :(. But this gave me the idea of texting each night a different reason so when he wakes up he sees it first thing in the morning. I just sent him reason #1! 🙂

For our 1 year anniversary, I gave him a list of 365 reasons why I love him. It was very sweet and he loved it 🙂
