Hmm.. I don't really know much about the Farmers Almanac except for the fact that is has been around a while. I guess maybe make sure you have a rain plan, but I wouldn't change my date or anything.
Your wedding will be beautiful and wonderful.... And it is the day you get to marry the love of your life!!!!! That is the most important!
I agree with PP that you may want to have a rain plan just in case, but you probably won't have a problem. I don't know much about the farmers almanac, but look at weather men. Half the time they're not right anyway!
The farmer's almanac is based on historical data. This year has been very unusual weatherwise though. I think you should definitely invest in a rain plan. Either an alternate indoor location or tent with sidewalls. You'll know the morning of the wedding what the weather will be. You can make all your decisions then.
On my wedding day we decided to go with outside, and it was beautiful. The last hour of the reception was raining and wet. We had decided on an outside ceremony with an inside reception. So I still got most of what I wanted and we still had fun.
Thank you, you guys! Especially Mighty sapphire! This is the second post youve helped me with today that ive posted. It must just be a wedding anxiety day or something!
How can they even know that far in advance?? Just have a back-up plan and hope for the best. I think that's all you can do for outdoor weddings!
Its just a guess they are giving you based on what the weather has been like. Maybe a plan B in case?
Just have a back up plan and keep positive. =D I know I was guilty of stalking the weather updates and they turned out to be WRONG WRONG WRONG!!

Freaking out! So my FI boss lives by the Farmers almanac for weather, and so far for this winter its been right. So I had my FI look up our wedding date (may 15 2010) weather and he got the word "Squally" for the forecast. I looked up "squally" and got Stormy, windy,Gale force winds, turboulant...e.c.t weather you do NOT want on your wedding day! We live right on Lake michigan so alot of things are going to be outside. PLEASE tell me that this farmers almanac isnt always right or that its a bunch of made up stuff!
