- Wedding: April 2014
Our day was absolutely magical, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect wedding. We spent the morning getting ready at a beautiful 1920’s hotel downtown, then headed over to the ballroom for the ceremony & reception. A friend wrote and performed the ceremony and it was beautiful. I was so stressed and busy the few days before and actually forgot to sit down and write my vows, so my wonderful husband-to-be actually wrote them for me, and had the entire room in tears as I was reading.
The food, drinks and music were all lovely. We did a small dessert buffet with little chocolates and mini cupcakes, it was a huge hit! We also spent a little more to get top shelf liquor and it was much appreciated! My cousins are professional hair and makeup artists and they helped me achieve such a stunning classy look, I have never felt so beautiful. Our photographer was amazing, and the DOC was a lifesaver. It was a perfect 80 degrees with a light breeze, thank goodness the storms cleared out! We decided to wait on a honeymoon, and I am so happy we did. Because every inch of my body is sore today and I need some rest before a getaway. My husband (i love saying that) just went to turn in the marriage license, and I’m spending the afternoon relaxing before we both head back to work tomorrow.
