- Wedding: November 2012
and, I’m back! Sadly, the bulldogs lost. Close game…just not close enough 🙂 boo! In the spirit of bulldawg love, here is a pic of my bulldog, inspecting the wedding roses after they arrived. He only approves nicest, most tasty flowers, you know….
Because we live in a seaside town and many of our guests were coming from places nowhere near a beach (Wisconsin, Alaska-super cold beaches don’t count-, Illinois…just to name a few) we though that a beach bonfire for the rehearsal dinner would be the perfect thing. Turns out, we were right! We served chili (vegetarian & beef), baked potatoes, corn bread, and s’mores. The moon was shining, stars were twinkling, iPod was rocking and no wind! It was awesome, and everyone had a lot of fun.
We hung blue, lime green, yellow, and white star shaped paper lanters around the fire on shepards hooks. It was really breathtaking when you came to the top of the beach stairs and looked down.
It was so much fun and a truly fantastic weekend!
Here are some extra ceremony and reception pics
My dad is fanning out my train, just before we enter the ceremony courtyard…
my pretty bridesmaid….
Martial bliss is just about to take place! I found this out later: just at the moment when my Dad and I entered and my groom and & saw each other for the first time (in our wedding get-up), my groom’s bottom lip began trembling… this surprise emotional display from my charming yet emotionally reserved husband is what set off the waterworks by my bridesmaids 🙂 lol
…party time at the reception…if only we can finish the darn photo-taking…
and so, “happily ever after” began… 🙂
The end! 🙂
