- Wedding: June 2012
Continuance from there!
Time to finally get into our reception room.
Bridal party walked in to Raise your glass, my husband wanted to walk in to Sexy and I know it.. so we did. He wanted to get rip off pants too and come in on roller skates. I didn’t say no, but we just never followed through.
Btw I apologize for my horrible grammar. I type fast, and leave out words.
We danced to History in the Making by Darius Rucker.
Because it was more of an upbeat song we did some spins. And that knocked my hair piece out.
So we watched it for a bit.
My husband got to spin also. 🙂 He would do anything to make me laugh.
Of course next up, speeches.
My Dad is a bit eccentric(brillant also)and had a super long planned out speech. Apparently he did not know this was the time he had to do it. So he winged it and I’m super happy for that.
I had a monogrammed table cloth for our sweetheart table.
Maid/Matron of Honor speech, it was so great, not sappy. I did not cry and laughed a little bit.
She mentioned how we are a good match because my husband cooks for me. She also mad some references to him being my submissive. Which was a complete joke. My reaction to the cooking comment. I know he does it and I’m definitely not ashamed.
My husband’s original best man could not make it because of the Army. They have been best buddies for YEARS, and it hurt them both that he could not make it. To have him there in spirit we asked if he wanted to write a speech. We were going to see if his parents wanted to read it, but knew it would be too hard for them. Luckily a very good friend of both of them was able to attend the wedding. He is in the navy and stationed on the other side of the country.
He also said that my husband should get a Denozo slap every now and then. So i figured hey why not now?! I didn’t actually hit him.
The best man(my husband’s BIL) also gave a speech.
We ate dinner (delicious!) and the photographers decided we should go outside for the sunset. Yes we worked them ragged.
Parent dances were up next. My dance was awkward.
My husband’s a bit sweeter.
My husband’s father was good and toasty by this time. So that meant for him a speech! June 9th is a very special day for him and a very good friend of his. They call it 69 day, yup that’s right. And on June 9, 1969, which they call the centennial they had a good old time.
And that was what half the speech was about..
Is this seriously happening?!
It was a good laugh.
My new SIL and their BIL’s reactions.
Everyone kept telling us to kiss!
More to come!
