That must have been a very bizarre experience! You might want to talk to Mom and ask if ther are any other surprise RSVPs coming your way!

@Overjoyed:  how did this person get an invitation and an rsvp to return?  did your mom send some extras out that you didn’t know about?  you may want to check with your mom.  how many extras did she send out?

@Overjoyed:  Haha!  It sounds like you handled it a little more gracefully than I would have.  I’d probably be too shocked to come up with a “fake nice” reply.  

But, as others have said, at least this person wasn’t like, “I can’t wait to come to your wedding!  Oh, and instead of the traditional +1, I’ll be bringing 3 additional people.  My friends are in from out of town that week and I don’t want to desert them!  Hope that’s cool!  See you then!”
