Finnaly received this new RHR from overstock. It’s lab created sapphire, 10k gold with diamond halo. I used a 10% coupon so i paid $169 total.I plan to use it as right hand ring+ stand in E-ring when I travel. however, I think the color is not as blue as the stock photo so I may return it. What do you guys think?
My SO wants me to return it because we will have our honeymoon in India and Nepal, and gem stone jewlery are much cheaper there.

I think it’s very, very pretty, but of course it’s up to you whether you like it or not! I voted to keep it and buy more. I think you paid a good price for it (I’m not an expert by any means though), so if you like it enough to wear it, I would keep it. I love sapphires, so I vote keep!

@AnonymousCupcake: Thanks! I love sapphire too! However, it’s just not as blue as I wanted, it’s pretty dark blue under indoor light.
I think $169 is a great price. I don’t like silver but gold ring is pretty exepnsive. so I think 10k gold is pretty good for a RHR

@fiona8718: Oh yea, I absolutely agree! I had a similar dilemma with a sapphire necklace that I had purchased for my wedding.. in the jewelry store it looked brighter, but once I got it home (and in any other light) it looked much darker. I didn’t end up using it for the originally intended purpose, but I did keep it, and it’s still pretty. If you aren’t opposed to keeping it, maybe you could use it as a RHR for now, until you find something you like better, and then just keep it as part of your jewelry collection?

I think it’s really pretty!

I actually like the real-life color better–the deeper blue. But you’re the one who’s wearing it, so it’s what you like. 🙂

@AnonymousCupcake: I just wish it’s blue (like cronflower blue, I know, it’s super expensive for a cornflower color natural sapphire)
part of my jewelry collecion? Well, here it is (it’s only part of my jewelry collections, it’s only the pearl and ring section ). Sorry about the bad lighting.

@fiona8718: I think the shade of blue is Beauuuutiful! It’s deep and moody. So gorgeous! Well chosen. It looks great and I’m so jealous!

It’s really pretty. I’d hate to give it up.

It looks like the picture to me.. it probably only looks different because of the lighting they used for the stock photo, or the brightness of your computer monitor.

@fiona8718: Keep it and buy more! It’s a win win
