Received some pretty devastating news that mom most likely won't be at wedding.

Make the time to call her right after the ceremony, even if it is just for 3 minutes.

I am so sorry. How devastating and scary for your family!

Are there vendors or even family members in the area that could set up a streaming webcam of your wedding ceremony? It can be as easy as getting a webcam, hooking it up to a laptop and live-streaming it using a site like

If she has a laptop she cna use at the hospital, she’d be able to watch the wedding that way.

My mother’s wedding DJ actually did this for her wedding so our family away could watch.

I’m so sorry to hear all of this.  To add to the PP, I’d call her right before the ceremony too.  Maybe some facetime while getting ready as well.  I think the ideas you already have are lovely too.

Oh wow. I hope she recovers.

Flowers for her room/ home and flower corsage would be great!

If this were me, I’d also set up a “rehearsal” for her. As in, my FI and I would go to see her days before or whenever works, and practice our ceremony for her. I’d tell her I needed her help to listen and make sure I didn’t trip over any words and to get practice 😉

A live stream or video is great, but I think this would help her feel more involved directly?
