- Wedding: June 2014
We are having an outdoor ceremony at 4pm, slotted to end at 4:30 where guests go straight into the lodge for the cocktail hour. Meanwhile, we will take a few shots just my fiance and I (we are doing first look and family pictures before the ceremony). WP will be announced in at 5:15.
I’m trying to figure out if we should do a receiving line or try to visit each table. Our reception will be until 10. Originally, I didn’t want to do a receiving line and just visit the tables. However, a friend who recently got married decided to do this and she said she did not have time to visit each table and was upset she did not even get to say a word to some of her guests.
I feel like I’ll have plenty of time, but I realize we will be busy with toasts, dinner, cake cutting, dancing, etc. I would hate to not be able to even say hi to any of my guests, especially those I haven’t seen in a very long time, who flew in from out of town, etc.
Do you have any advice either way? What are your experiences or some pros or cons I might not be thinking of? Is it even feasible with our timeline?! Thanks bees!
