My dress, from the day I purchased it through five fittings and the addition of straps, then tulle to the straps, 10-yards of blue tulle underneath, and a ballroom bustle to the underskirt with an over bustle to the tulle to keep the soft, drapey feel. Hope these photos arent as large as they appear to be on my iPad!

Ten days until the big day for me!

LearCat23:  I love these! It’s amazing how different a dress can look after alterations & fittings! /

Here’s my custom drawing from the designer:

Here’s the dress before any alterations, just in a regular size (custom measurements would have cost more than just having it altered):

Here’s the final beauty after alterations (less than $200) and on our wedding day!

BeckyS0:  I was just going to post the same thing! Except we’re more than polka dot tulle twinsies, we’re also colored sash and tulle underskirt, too! Love your dress!!

All I had done was the waist taken in & the bustle.

Mine was so huge, I had to buy the sample since we only had a 4.5 month engagement. You can see in the mirror behind me the ridiculous amount of fabric clipped.

My seamstress cut 4 inches out of each side – I was so nervous it wouldn’t turn out, but it looked great. The only difference I noticed was that the original had a smooth line from the front to back, and my dress had a small notch under my armpit due to the amount removed. It didn’t bother me at all.
