Just use the word appetizers or hors d’oeuvres instead of dinner.

Maybe something like: “Please join us for an evening of celebration.  Enjoy cocktails, dancing, and hors d’oeuvres.”  Or something along those lines?

I would just be worried that “eat, drink and be married” would make people think that it’s dinner.

I would make sure your guests know.  If I received an invitation worded like that for a 7:00 pm wedding I’d assume there would be a regular dinner.

I would be expecting a dinner as well based on that wording but also if I read “Apps” on the invite I would not be expecting something as substantial as chicken tenders and a pork loin carving station.  I think you are fine!
