Have you thought of maybe getting flowers as close to your colors infusing them with branches, greenery or white flowers in a small square vase which will make it look like a full small bouquet then have it surround by little candles… Just a thought…

why dont you do a centrepiece with plums? obviously alot prettier then this though?

this way your guests can take your decorations home too!

I think that submerged flowers in vases always look pretty spectacular without needing to be expensive. You can search the dollar stores for cheap glass vases.

@ashmk08:  this is what we are doing with our long distance relationship themed destination wedding.  Instead of pictures, I’ve also seen it done with traditional table numbers.  I got all the supplies at the Dollar Tree, except the Vellum paper – which I got at Michaels with a 50% off coupon for a large packet.

I’m making flowers from paper and buying wholesale candles and sticking them in found jars/vases/glasses. Add a little ribbon, twine, paint, and I think it will work. Hopefully…
