Related to my last post, the contract we got requires is to have a commercial general liability policy of a crazy amount. This seems odd to me and my lawyer friends agree. Did anyone else have to do this? Hoping it’s a mistake but doubtful.
Need to be talked off the ledge! 🙂

We had to get “event insurance” for our reception since we were serving alcohol and just for the fact that it was a historical building and they wanted stuff fixed if anything happened to go wrong/get damaged. We got it through the company that does our homeowner’s policy and it was like $100, nothing major.
ETA: http://www.wedsafe.com/ was also recommended to us by the venue, it’s pretty common, I swear! 🙂

@misspeanut: Thanks! Myinsurance agent said they don’t write policies for the crazy amount I was told we needed. And they are a national company!
