I would appreciate any ideeas how to decorate this room for our wedding. I didn’t decide about the colors either.
ok so lets start with budget. How much can you throw at this?
I’m thinking around 300$ just for the room and chairs, tables, centerpieces are extra.
So, it includes the tables, chairs and white tablecloths? What kind of a look/feeling are you going for? Are you okay with going with the white tablecloths?
The look of the walls bothers me a lot so
I’m thinking to spend around 300 just to make the room prettier. I don’t know if I should cover the walls or focus on something else. I would like yellow with a shade of light green maybe silver for the tables and centerpieces. But considering the color of the walls white linens will be ok.
We are renting 6 inch round tables and chair covers. Also I’ve been thinking about some uplightning.
Can you remove anything from the walls? Like the photos, if you hang them all back up?
What if you play up the lace curtains by adding a lace runner or table square in one of your colors?
Yes I can take all the pictures down and replace the white lace curtains. I pretty much change this room however I want, that’s the good thing about it. Any ideeas about the mirrors??
The venue it seems to have windows but there is no light coming through them since it’s another bulding next to it
Lowes and Home depot sell a molding kit (frame) for your common bathroom mirror that looks about the same size as those mirrors. if not you could always check it out and buy the pieces seperate.
They have tons of different styles or you could definitely DIY
honestly I would drape the walls AND do some uplighting or twinkle lights. What do you think about using white rolls of tablecloth for draping?
Are you wanting a rustic vibe? I think that room lends itself well to that type of decor. Keep the lace curtains, add a light green runner down the tables, and small centerpieces of flowers. You could do mason jars with lace wrapped around them (to tie in with the curtains).
Oh, and I wouldn’t bother with the chair covers. IMO, all they do is draw attention to chairs. I would rather see those chairs than large white blobs around the room.
About draping the walls a professional is asking for 1.500$ the room is rectangular 25 wide by 50 long. As far as using tablecloths for drapping I would need a frame maybe for the whole room??
This room is our cheapest option that’s why we need it and now we’re trying to figure out the decorating part. A big minus is that we need to rent silverware, glasses, plares and catering company which adds up quickly.
My fiancee wants round tables insteadof the rectangular ones. Will that help with the look of the room?
