- Wedding: December 2018
I’m thinking of having a beach wedding, my friend/co-worker is a wedding planner and says she will help me out.
For the Hor D’oeuvers/appetizers, whichever you call them, I was thinking meatballs, vegetarian sushi rolls with cream cheese, strawberries with the top cut off and a slice of banana sandwiched between the fruit and the top, cheese and crackers. Cute, yummy finger foods I saw whilst browsing online.
I also saw this really cute idea where I’d put miniture shells on the top of all the toothpicks, and that would tie everything into the beach theme enough for me.
Where I ran into a idea block though was what to serve for the main dish that would keep with the theme, my fiance does not like seafood. Fish, shellfish, oysters, clams, all things from the ocean make him loose his appetite, and even though I like some of it, I’d rather it not be part of the night, for him. 🙂 I was thinking about trying to recreate the dish he made the night he proposed to me, it was a jamaican marinated chicken grilled up really nice with some baked beans, however, i haven’t ruled out the idea of maybe chicken and beef kabobs, or somethiing a little more italian-y like cheese and sausage stuffed pasta shells. I want something that would tie in with the beachy theme of the wedding,
i don’t really like the idea of burgers, and pasta isn’t something I’d want either. :I i say that but I like the pasta shells idea, because… shells… beach *sigh* i’m really not sure what to do, what i need to do, i’m still trying to get a guest list set up, but it’s gonna be at least 100 people but no more than 250-300.
Also this is my first post, if i broke any board-rules i don’t know about , let me know…
My budget is pretty tight, I need the least costing stuff possible, because we’re paying for it ourselves.
