It seems that the automatic go-to for a fun “activity” for guests at the reception is a photobooth. Now, I love that idea, but I am not in love with the cost or originality of it, either.
So – here’s the question – we have a large balcony space right off of the reception area to work wiht (takes up the entire back of the building)…any ideas of different/fun “activities” to have placed outside on the balacony for our guests to entertain themselves with if they are not in the mood to dance or sit and chat any longer?
I know there is something out there that I just can’t think of! Any ideas would be appreciated!

How much time are you looking to fill?

EDIT TO ADD: Sorry, I read your question wrong and was thinking this was for the gap between ceremony and reception.
…but, honestly – I don’t think you really need anything ‘extra’. If people want to take a break from the main room – maybe just some chairs, etc out there. I wouldn’t plan an extra activity that would draw people away from the main room (even though I remember trying to figure this out during my own planning).
In thinking of all the weddings I’ve attended, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an additional activity – other than a lounge type of seating – where people can just get some air and mingle before they go back in….

Decks of cards/poker chips
Spoons (the game)
Musical Instruments for those who may feel talented and entertaining
Set up binoculars (you could incorporate an I Spy or treasure hunt kind of thing with this)
