I’m wearing the same dress all day. We’re having a late ceremony so if I were to change I wouldn’t be wearing it long.

I think it’s fine when people change into a reception dress, it’s your day and whatever makes you comfortable!

I changed into a reception / going-away dress for the last hour of the reception.  We were going to a bar for the after-party, and I really wanted to change into flats and didn’t want my dress dragging on the ground.

I got to wear my wedding dress for almost the entire night, so it worked out well.

As long as your reception dress is special, why not wear it!

I thought about getting a less-poofy, more comfortable/relaxed dress for my reception. I decided against it because my wedding dress was a bit of a budget buster, so I want to get my money’s worth!

I can see how it would be a hard decision. There was NO WAY I was going to change out of my dress. But that’s partly why I chose the dress I did– easy to dance in.

I think you probably know inside whether you can wear the one dress all night or not.  But if it’s not expensive, buy the other dress and have it as an option!

Ms.Simone:  Do what you feel is right.  The upside about buying one of the reception dressses you are considering would be that you can wear it over and over again.  So, I don’t think you would be losing out on any money really.  If you are planning to really get down at the reception, definitely get a different dress though.  Your dress does look like it could be hard to party in!

Ms.Simone:  It’s all about comfort! Whatever you feel the most comfortable with go with it!  I’m sure you will still be the most beautiful woman int he room!

SN:  I love the white dress above, can you please provid ethe purchase info..  I may wear it at my reception… LOL!

Ms.Simone:  IMO the brown dress looks like a bridesmaid dress.

However I’m not opposed to changing into a dancing dress! I just think you could find something a little bit more bridal.

I changed and am SO happy i did! I couldnt even wait until dessert had been served i wanted outta that big heavy sucker fast! My second dress was a blush/ivory tone so it wasnt stark white, but i still think it was bridal.
