I am having my moms and FI moms wedding dress displayed on dress forms with photos of their wedding...not sure sure if I would consider that entertainment. But it will give guests something to look at. I am also going to have a little basket with playing cards. Some may think that it is "tacky", but I think that people who do not like to dance may enjoy it. My FI and his friends (all groomsmen) play cards EVERY Thursday night, so it kind of has meaning as well.
Truth or Dare with all the guests?
Just kidding! I'm sorry, I have no suggestions. We're just doing an ipod reception and hoping that people chat and dance and eat. I'm curious to see what other people suggest!
A dj for dancing? That typically is all the entertainment that most people need or want other than general socializing.
I saw a game at my best friends' reception this year. It's was quiz with lots of questions about them and their guests. People were going to other tables to answer the questions and get some special cards. They did not have a slideshow but the guests were using the cards to display some photos on a screen. It was really fun and it wasn't like a slideshow! Not sure about the name though...

We had some friends put different types of candy on each table, and everyone got a Chinese "to-go" box to fill. It got people up and moving around and mingling to see if another table maybe had something they would want. It was cute, effective, and yummy!
Otherwise . . . is it open bar? That's usually entertainment enough. LOL.

does anyone have any entertainment ideas during reception? i am not doing a slideshow, but would like to do something else instead. any suggestions???
