A few months ago, I google searched wedding games, and remember seeing several that sounded fun, like the shoe game, where the couple takes off their shoes and takes one of each, sit back to back, and answer questions about themselves by raising up the shoe of the person, like “who said I love you first,” or “who is the better driver,” and I’m probably going to do that at mine.

I’m sure you could find some other good things to do.

copperbird90:  I had an amazing digital caricature artist and everyone including the older crowd loved it. He set up a screen so people could watch what the artist was doing as he drew.

If you have older people attending then why not take advantage of their accumulated wisdom by asking them to write down any advice on making a marriage work or just good wishes. They could then put those slips of paper into a bottle to be opened for a specific anniversay like bottle post. Keeps away boredom at tables hopefully.

I like the idea of wedding games… maybe you can do a generation dance where the couple married the longest gets a prize or something.

We are having alot of things, so hopefully people won’t be “bored”. We have a dj w/ dance floor, candy buffet for dessert, photo booth, cigar bar w/ patio seating area, open bar & outdoor firepit w/ hay bale seating [covering in cloth so people don’t get dirty/poked] with marshmallow roasting.

My FI and I are currently talking about this. I desperately want to get a fire performer (someone who does poi, fire hooping, etc) to do a short show. However, we’re not sure if our venue is going to be okay with that :/  We’re also considering some sort of dance troupe, but we haven’t really gotten anywhere with that idea yet.
