I've been looking for a great beachside location in Fairfield County, still no luck. I noticed a bunch of <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic">beautiful locations all over CT though. Sigh...

My FI and I are getting married at our church in Avon, CT... but our reception will be at The Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT. We wanted something different but would be convenient for our guests. The hotel has a traditional banquet hall (the Glass Room) that opens up to a beautiful courtyard. We were sold when we went into the 8 Mile Brook room. It is like a cathedral/barn. We love the cathedral ceilling and the exposed beams. We have run with the whole "wood" theme. I grew up in the woods... so why wouldn't it get carried on to the wedding?!

As all you ladies know CT has amazing locations through out the state. Parks, Beaches, Hotels, and Historic Sites.
I am have my reception at the Four Points by Sheraton in Meriden. They have recent re done the front lobby of the hotel and the ball rooms. I feel like I am walking into a chic NY spot not Meriden CT
