The facility is home for many people.

No one would question having a wedding at any other home.

It looks like a lovely venue.

looks like it has it’s own separate entrance, so it’s not like you’re walking through a nursing home to get there. It’s definitely not something I have ever heard of, but I wouldn’t not use it for that reason.

Looks great! When we were driving around during the time we were looking for venues we kept seeing beautiful buildings and grounds and realizing they were either assisted living homes or funeral homes. Looks like we should have looked into the assisted living homes! Definitely not the funeral homes though 🙂

If it was a really close friend, I might make a joke that they were planning ahead so they could live at their wedding venue when they get older. So you might get a joke or two like that, but they would still think it was a lovely venue.

Oh, I would make sure you could use an outside caterer. I’ve had lunches at assisted living places with people who live there, and the food tends to be soft and bland.
