We are doing a slideshow to play at our reception. But not where everything pauses so everyone can watch. It’ll be playing on the tv which is located by the bar so when people are waiting on their drinks they can watch. But my question is, do we just do photos of us, like growing up and now or do we include photos of our bridal party too?

We’re doing the same thing, 2 TVs in the room (over the bar and dance floor) and we’re just using our engagement pictures and then a few recent pictures of us together. During our parent dances we plan to have slideshows of baby pictures with each parent playing while we dance.

There are no real rules here – just do what you want.
Though I like to see the couple of honor when they were kids and when they first met, some date photos, and then lead into your engagement photos, perhaps some planning of the wedding day, ie your fittings, your shower, your man’s bachelor party, some silly shots are also nice.
You can pay homage to your folks and bridal party as well. The montage should be around 4 minutes long and then have it repeated. This way, it will play over and over again, and someone who missed some photos will see them again.
You can also set this up during cocktails and then have the tv moved to your reception for those who did not attend the cocktail hour.

@Gobluewedding: Yep, it’s definitely up to you. We included probably one photo of each of our bridal party members, but there’s not really a rule or requirement.
