My ceremony also starts at 330 though our order of events is quite different. One thing I would suggest is waiting until everyone has their dinner to do toast. You said it yourself, toasts will probably still be going on when dinner service starts. That could just be distracting and disruptful to yor friends and family that probably put a lot of time and thought into what they were going to say in your toast. This was also how my DJ suggested to do it. This way everyone is already sitting and happy with their food and eager to listen instead of answer the waiters questions of “who got chicken?” Also, if your guests have to be seated at 455 for your entrance and toasts, they’ve already been sitting in one plae for 30 minutes before dinner starts to come out.

Personally, I don’t understand why guests need to be sitting for yor entrance, first dance. Wouldn’t you rather have them standing around the dance floor cheering you on as you walk on and then watching your dance? That’s just me. I personally don’t like when I’m at weddings and being told to sit down for no apparent reason.

also, as a personal note… I’d suggest sticking with table visits and getting rid of the receiving line. As a guest, who really likes waiting in line to greet the bride and groom? Also, depending on how many guests you have a receiving line can take way more than 20 minutes.
