Hello SC weddingbee bloggers. This is my very first blog ever... on any website. I live in New Orleans but am a Greenville, SC native and am getting married there in May 2009. Originally I wanted my reception to be at the Wyche Pavilion, but they're booked for every Saturday in April, May and June. Yikes. So now I'm looking for another reception venue, and I thought I'd see if anyone out there might have some suggestions. We're getting married at a church downtown, so we'd prefer the reception be downtown, but it doesn't have to be.
It's not quite downtown, but The Sawmill is nice. You could also look into the Govener's School for the Arts, but I'm not sure if they allow that. I found this site when I was looking for The Sawmill website - it lists 18 different locations. Hope this helps!
