Sorry to hear that. I would check out banquet halls in your area & since it's a Sunday, it would probably be pretty cheap. Also contact local restaurants and hotels and see what they can offer you. Being a recession and all perhaps you can work something out - but in that price range I would keep my prospect in the rather economic level since Miami is expensive for weddings after all.
There are great Banquet Halls in the Coral Gables are, why don't you try Tony's Reception, Royal Palace Ballroom, etc

Hi,
I've been planning my weddng for 2 years and had pretty much everything ready to go for my walk down the aisle on the 11th of October this year. However, in the last couple of weeks, I have been told that the space I was going to use for my reception in my church would not be available as renovations on the church are preventing the proper use of it's facilities.
OK, so I have no ceremony site NOR a reception site.
And now i find myself in the very anxiety-ridden situation where I have to worry about finding a reception site (as thankfully, I have alternate ceremoy site already) that will provide tables, chairs, plates, glasses, table cloths, food and regular drinks (as we don't drink alcohol) iin 1 month and 1/2. I have a budget of about $20 per person to pay for an estimated 300 people attending.
Does anyone know of a reception hall that can fit the bill? Please help!!! I'm freaking out!!! :*(
