Long story short, my reception venue is now to small for the guests we are expecting. Room capacity is 48 and my Mother wanted to invite her siblings which I agreed to.
My venue is now telling me they cannot fit all guests and a dance floor.
My choices are keep the room and forgo the dance floor, change rooms to a ballroom that would fit 110 people (which is really large and will look like half my guests didn’t show) or try and find a new location in time.
Thoughts??? I’m really stumped on what to do….

@Future_Ms.Bostonceltics: can you change it into the ballroom and get some lounge type furniture? It would take up space AND look nice.
ETA: your wedding is in August so I assume you didnt send invitations yet? Are you sure everyone will come?

We have to move tables after our dinner to make a dance floor. Not prime but we’ll make it work. Could work for you too. Not removing just re-arranging.

@gelaine22: I went and checked out the bigger room, and it’s HUGE!!!! Even with lounge furniture it’s just massive, so definitely not an option.
Looks like we’re sticking with our original room and hoping everything works out.
