oh boo! =( our venue actually got a whole change of staff as well, but so far, so good....we shall keep our fingers crossed. i am wishing you the best!!
Yah this is super common... there's not much money in coordinating for venues, whereas there's lots of money in coordinating for brides.
The only true solution is to hire a coordinator, and to make sure to get all promises in writing - preferably in contract form!!
Wow, that does seem a bit excessive. I haven't had any problems like that, fingers crossed. I'm sure everything will turn out great in the end, though!
i have to agree with mr bee, hire a wedding planner yourself and let them deal with it! [though i may be biased as an event planner myself]
Hopefully everything will work out for you. We booked over a year before our wedding, so there's a chance that could happen to us. We also have a wedding planner, so she'll know all of the plans and be able to work it out with the venue.
Ms Mojito,
That is scary! Personally Tlaquepaque (www.tlaq.com) has only had one coordinator who I believe started there 10 years ago- but the wedding business in Sedona is considerably smaller than in the Valley. Best wishes to you on better communication! :o)
Thanks! I think a wedding planner would definitely help. I appreciate the support everyone :-)
I've heard of this happening a lot too! I agree with the others - you should try to get a planner to make sure that you have the same person working with you throughout -that should cut a lot of stress out!!
ditto with the pp. if you hire a planner it will definitely take some pressure and anxiety away.
@Ms. Ladybug-I know-it IS scary! Sedona will be beautiful :-)Thanks for the best wishes and good luck!

Hive,
I am 5 months away from my wedding. I booked the reception venue back in July and since then, we have been through 2 wedding coordinators. The venue has not been good about communicating the changes to us. Instead, we find out when our emails are bounced back or our phone calls go unanswered. WTH???
I am seriously getting nervous about the venue and their ability to get my reception right. I understand this industry probably has quite a bit of turnover, but this seems excessive! Has anyone else experienced venue problems in terms of staff? I am definitely regretting my choice of venue at this point. arggggh!
