I dont know if it's any help, but my wife and I got married right in the park at West Park Village, and had our reception at Catch Twenty-Three. Super inexpensive, and it turned out beautifully.
We had about 65 guests.

we got married at the peninsula inn and spa in gulfport fl. it was awesome! it's a cute little historic inn with 11 rooms, they all have a different theme. we had it outside. we had about 90 people but it's a really small place and would probably be perfect for the amount of people you have. we paid $35 per person for apps and a buffet, and didn't have to pay any other type of fee for renting the place. they also made a beautiful croquembouche for the cake (the chef is french and amazing!), but of course that cost more. they were very helpful the day of and put everything up for us and got everything ready.
I dont know your budget but we are getting married at The Event factory. We going to put a deposit down this saturday. This place is All-includisve (includes photo, food, video, chapel, reception, centerpiences, DJ, they even have a favor for your guests.) Its a one stop shop. Check it out. We're more than likely having our ceremony and reception at The Sandbar down in Anna Maria. I've only seen tons of photos, and read lots of reviews, but our big day will also be on a very tight budget with around 50 people. As another bee had mentioned restaurants... this venue is exactly that. But from what I've seen online I'm nearly convinced, and once it's time for us to make that decision, we will be going down there to visit first. @ms_english07:Hey there! There is a site located in Tampa call The Rusty Pelican. They have wedding packages that start at like 42.50 pp all the way up to 100+ pp. The venue is waterfront and they can have ceremonies in a gazebo that is waterfront as well. Most of their rooms have ocean front views and they have an onsite coordinator that helps with everything. Their packages come with a cake, chair covers, chair bows, assorted tables,limo service, and for an additional $500 they can have your ceremony too.
My BF and I are planning and saving up for a wedding there. It is like, my dream :)
Also StarShip Yacht performs ceremonies and offers receptions right here off of Channelside.

I have checked out about every location available in Tampa be it online, or visitng a location by word of mouth. I'm on a limited budget set by both my fiance and I. We have finally decided on the American Legion Hall on Kennedy Blvd for the reception site. The hall holds up to 170, has a great dance floor, a great staff, and offers byob! I'm pulling off a wedding for 100+ with a budget of 4-5k. The hall rental is $95.00 an hour with 2 hours given for setup time for free. A cleanup fee for the hall is $75.00. You are free to use the building, your own catering, and as I mentioned above bring your own liquor! This place is not the most over the top hall by any means, but it is very nice and affordable to alot of brides who don't have 25k to spend on a wedding.
We found Club Renaissance in Sun City Center. (Just south of Tampa)
It is soo affordable. Plates are $36-$49 pp.
And it is absolutely gorgeous.

my reception is at the Columbia Restaurant & we are paying $22 a person (its a lunch reception) check there!! its beautiful!!
I would suggest Keel and Curley Winery in Plant City. My FI and I are getting married there. Its super crazy cheap... cheaper than sandbar, beach house, and columbia.

Hello my fellow Bay Area brides! I've been looking a decent venue at an affordable rate and either the venue is too large, expensive, or cheap but not attractive at all. Can anyone give me any places in the Tampa area? I'm having no more than 50 people and we're on a limited budget so nothing too fancy.
