    Hi, gals,

Did you change out from your wedding gown to a lighterweight dress for the reception/dance?  If so, would you share what you are going to wear?

    Thanks!!

This is probably not a "typical" reception dress, but I think I'm going to wear this:

I am wearing this for my reception in the Bahamas because my ceremony dress is a big poufy princessy-type dress and will be way to hot to dance in all night on the outdoor patio.

    Interesting question.

I am getting married on the beach in Costa Rica and was contemplating changing dresses.  A friend of mine was married ont he Eastern shore a few years back and she change around 11:00 p.m. when all the older family was gone.  She was relaxed, feet dangling in the pool with her husband at her side.  There was no way she could have done that in a Vera Wang gown.   I thought it was a great idea and think I may do the same although I have no idea what to wear.  I imagine everyone going for a midnight swim though.  What are you thinking of wearing?

My sweetie and I are doing a tango for our first dance - no way that's happening in the wedding dress, so I will be changing.  Not sure what I'll be wearing, but it will be a more dance friendly dress (lightweight, above the knee). It'll be fun to change and will allow everyone to see the pink tango shoes I'll be wearing.

Not sure if I'll change back for the general dancing - depends on which dress is more comfortable.  :)
