I’m hosting a big 4th of July party this weekend and will have about a dozen friends and family sleep over at my place. I want to do an easy brunch the next morning. Anyone have any recipe ideas? I’d preferto make it something low effort and mess and budget friendly, since I’ll have already hosted a big BBQ the night before.

cbgg: Do things that can be cooked in bulk all at the same time: bake french toast in the oven rather than one or two pieces at a time on the stovetop, ditto with bacon if you decide to serve it.
Do a breakfast strata that you can prepare the day before then just pop in the oven.
Make a large fruit salad – add apple and banana at the last minute.
Make muffins ahead of time.

Quiche would be great for an occasion like this. They are yummy, easy, and budget-friendly.

I like the idea of doing a breakfast casserole/strata but have never made one before. Anyone have a tried and true recipe that’s easy? I won’t really have the fridge space to prep one the night before, unfortunately.

I second the idea of a big batch of baked French toast, and then I would do a make your own parfiat station with yogurt, fresh fruit, and granola.

A big pan of scrambled eggs is pretty easy!
