Are you having a shower? I was thinking of doing this too but I was leaning more towards sending them to the ladies to bring to the shower.
You could say something like:
Jack and Jill have found the recipe for love.
Please bring this card to the wedding and share your
favorite recipe with the new couple
Kinda cheesy but you could play around with it. I also like the idea of asking the shower ladies to bring a recipe. If you have a lot of guys coming to the wedding they may not remember or give you their recipe for the perfect bowl of cereal! :)
I wasn't having a shower until not too long ago. By that time we had already bought the recipe cards and the right sized envelopes so I don't want them to go to waste; the envelopes are already addressed.
I know the shower is smaller and more ideal for this but my shower is supposed to be really soon yet I have heard nothing about it. So I don't want to not do it for the wedding and then have the shower canceled.
Thanks LittleBear...it's not as cheesy as you think! Thankfully there's not many single guys coming ;)
Now getting married, what to eat, please provide a recipe to share with us of your most favorite treat.
Or
Cooking for two will be such a change at dinner, provide us with a recipe that makes your favorite dish a winner.
How's that for corny!

We are going to do a recipe card guestbook instead or in addition to the regular ol' guest book.
We plan on having the recipe cards sent with the invites and then they can send them back with their RSVP cards or they can bring them to the recption. I'm needing some phrase to let them know what we are doing and what we would like them to do (fill them out and send them back or bring to the wedding).
I've been looking at the 'Bride and Grooms first cookbooks' online for inspiration and thought many of you bees would have fantastic ideas as well.
