Need to get some information before I setup the the recipe swap.

Would you mind answering the poll?

I will setup the swap on swap-bot as soon as I get enough votes.

Oh, I will setup the notecard swap, too.  I'm going to start them at the same time so it's easier for me and maybe you to get the deadllines straight.

If you want to read more about the swap.  See this thread. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/are-you-ready-for-a-wb-swap

ETA:  If you want to get a head start...

You should head over to www.swap-bot.com and sign up for an account.  Check it out!  They have some cool swaps. I've done post card swaps in the past. If you sign up for an account, you'll be one step closer towards participating in these swaps.

BTW, we use swap-bot, so I don't have to organize who swaps with who.  Swap-bot makes my life easier.  Plus, only your partners gets your address.  I know we certainly don't want everyone in the swap to have your personal address.

Oh, check out the Weddingbee group on swap-bot!

Lastly, if any of you did a swap in the past and didn't get the chance to rate your swap partner, you should do so now.  I hope none of you were flakers. :(

@yrret107: Yay! I think everyone is going to have very different preferences about how to receive their recipe. What if we, as a whole, decide on the type (dessert, entree, or random) and then post individually in our own profiles HOW we want the recipe to come (8x11, 4x6, etc).

Do you think this would work, or too complicated?

Can we add in "drink mixes"???  :D  'cause I know my FI would give me one of his! LOL!

Seriously, though, I'm not picky about the recipe.  If it's a recipe, I can follow it and make it!  Though... my FI will probably love this swap, since he loves cooking, too! (With my luck, he'll take 'em and run! LOL!)

I'd probably prefer entree recipes but any are fine.

We keep our recipes on index-type cards in a book but if I get the recipe on another size, I can just copy it on to one of our cards.

Lovin' this idea, I'm totally in! I don't really care much as far as the guidelines go but I guess if I had to choose I would prefer entrees and appetizer recipes. As for size, doesn't really matter to me. My recipes are written on everything from formal recipe cards to post it notes and just thrown in a drawer.

@yrret107: If it ends up being 2 recipes we exchange, can we do one entree and one dessert? Then everyone gets a little something. ;)

    I agree with Mrs Meerkat--then we'd have a Bee dinner!  :)

Oh, and I'm not fussy on the size.  This is going to be so much fun!

@Miss Godiva: I do think this is a good idea but I think it will complicate things a lot.  In the past, we've noticed that it's better to keep it simple.

I will remind members to look in their swap partner's profile to see if they have any requests but there's no guarantee that members will follow it. :/

@meerkat: Good idea on one entree and one dessert.

Maybe those who have preferences could put that in their swap-bot profile or on here and those who get that particular person can check.

I don't care about the format of the recipe, or the type or number of recipes!  I'm game for anything and everything especially since this is my first swap! :)

Cool! I'll sign up with swapbot. I'd prefer either a dessert or entree recipe. We are especially looking for rice cooker and toaster oven recipes since we just got those items at our wedding shower and of course inexpensive ideas are a huge plus!

I don't really care about the size of it, but I'd like it to be on a 3x5 or 4x6 Index card if possible.

I think it's best if you set a standard size and number of recipes. But maybe state- one entree and 2 other (non-entree) recipes.

I would love some tasty healthy recipes and anything that is quick and easy for entrees.

Will there be regulations as to what kind of receipes we share. Most of my go to receipes are ones I've found online.

@yrret107: yeah I thought about it after the 1-hr edit window passed and realized it would be too complicated. I'm the queen of too complicated. My s/n should be MissCanNeverMakeUpHerMind LOL
