My mom will be preparing spaghetti sauce, lasagna, sheppard's pie, and turkeys to be frozen. We will also prepare home-made pizzas that we'll just have to cook after. You can also prepare any kind of soup.
Casseroles and lasagna freeze really well. Make sure you make the food in disposable containers so that the new parents only have to heat and then throw away (they don't have to worry about washing and returning anything).

My best friends just had their first child two weeks early. I want to make food for them so they don't have to cook for a while, but I'm not used to making stuff and freezing it for later use. If you have any recipes that work particularly well for this purpose, I'd greatly appreciate them!
