@snmcdowell: I am 8+ months and haven't really felt this need - have used pregnant spanx - but that was more to make the dress lay smooth than support. BTW you might want to mention to your OB that you are feeling this - she might have some suggestions? it seems like you shouldn't be feeling so much discomfort this early....
I used something very similar to this:
It gave just the support I needed and didn't make me feel too strapped in and claustrophobic.

I am 4 month spregnant and my belly is growing a lot! I've reached a point where my belly feels sort of unsupported, and it's a bit uncomfortable. I found lots of pregnancy support garments/belts online but they're all so different and I have no clue how to choose a good one. Has anyone used pregnancy support garments and can you make a recommendation?
