    Hi hive!

With about 8 months left until our wedding, I'm trying to make sure that my skin looks as good as possible. I try to use all natural and organic skin care products, and I'd love to hear what you're using that you love!

I'm afraid that I don't have much of a skin care regimen... but I'm really interested in what others have to say about this.

I've tried a trial sample of Juice Beauty, which is an organic brand, and did not like it.  I could not get past the smell of moldy clothes.  I could not wash my face right away so I spent several hours with "stinky face". *Note: Stinky Face is the facial expersion one makes when there is an unpleasant smell. Their upper lip curls up and their face grimaces.

I have also tried the natural brand Ole Henriksen which is a nice brand.  The toner and night gel irrirated my skin, but I love the On the Go Cleanser and Vitamin Plus Moisturizer.

I plan on using a trial sample of Boscia, however some of their products are packaged small.  I can't see myself spending $30 on a 1oz item but they have nice reviews.

I use Origins. They have a wide variety of products, so you can find what works best on your skin type. They are generous with samples and let you return if you don't like the products. My skin is combination, Caucasian skin, I am 23 years old, and have had slight-moderate acne through my whole life. Here is what I use on a daily basis....

Perfect World Cleanser with White Tea  - wow this stuff gets off all the dirt and oil! it's great. One bottle last about 6 months. $32.00

    Perfect World Toner

Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea - this is light, but moisturizing and a little bit goes a long way also $26?

Modern Friction microdermabrasion - this stuff is sooooo awesome, it will make your skin so smooth and look flawless. Also lasts a long time. $32.00

Night-a-mins - eye cream for night, is not greasy and very moisturzing, i can tell a difference when i forget to put it on $28.00

Spot Remover - this stuff is also amazing! When you see a zit coming on, you put a tiny dot of this on the zit, and it dries it up really fast. It a highly concentrated salycylic acid (1.00%) $12.00

Origins is plant based products, and for anyone that has not used organic/plant based products, you really have to give your skin 2-3 weeks to balance if you are switching from chemical products. Your skin will feel and look gross, you will probably break out, and you will want to return everything, but if you stick it out, it is worth it!

I attached a picture so you could see how clear it made my skin. I wear really light Clinique powder as a base.

Thanks so much lagizzle! I really appreciate the recommendations, and your skin looks wonderful.

I've been wondering lately about natural microderm products, too, so this answers that question for me, too! Thanks again.

There is a line of environmentally friendly skincare products based out of the Bay Area called Tuel that's pretty good (http://www.evaskincare.com/).  I love their cleansing oils and moisturizers since it contains a lot of essential oils.  I also like to make my own masks using a mixture of various clays, aloe vera, and honey.  With that said Mountain Rose Herbs is a fantastic source for organic products (www.mountainroseherbs).  I haven't tried their skincare products but Terressentials is one of the few vendors that are USDA certfied organic: http://www.terressentials.com/

For the past six months, I've been using the oil cleansing method with jojoba oil and I *love* the results.  Clear, soft skin, and any blackheads that I had just popped right out.  (Just google "oil cleansing method" for more info - this is great for ALL skin types, you just use different types of oil for different skin concerns.)  I also use a drop or two of jojoba oil under my moisturizer in the winter, and as my only moisturizer in the summer.  It is very similar to the skin's natural oils, so it absorbs exceptionally well!

I just received a shipment of Carol's Daughters products, including their toner and moisturizer, and will share my thoughts on it after I've had a chance to play with the products.  I've heard rave reviews about their stuff - all natural ingredients, no parabens, just good stuff!

And this isn't necessarily part of my "skincare regimen" but I use Lumiere Mineral makeup and it is my holy grail makeup.  Again, all natural ingredients, and gives me a natural look, like I have great skin, not like I have on great makeup.  I raved about them in my blog, http://www.raveonmsj.blogspot.com . There's a few other beauty products that I rave about on there as well.  :)

I really like Origins too, but the White Tea cleanser made me break out. I use their Checks & Balances cleanser and LOVE IT! I have used it for years!!!!

I use all of their other products too (switching between the white tea line (with the exception of the cleanser I just mentioned) and the Andrew Weil line.

Extra virgin olive oil is my FAVORITE moisturizer, but that might just be because I love the smell of it.  When my hands and are feeling extra dry, I put a healthy dose on and wear cotton gloves/socks overnight.

I just picked up Burt's Bees Beeswaz and Royal Jelly Eye Creme.

It does a good job of hydrating, but I havent seen a difference in the dark circles.

However it does smell amazing and I wish they'd make it into a perfume!

First I would like to say that while I too like some of Origins products, they have very few products that really are organic. A lot of companies throw around words lke natural and green and eco and very little of their product is that. A lot of chemicals start out natural.

That being said, if you are looking for some orgaic products, from an eco-friendly company that actually does everything it can to be as "green" as possible, then I would tell you to try Aveda.

I LOVE the Tourmaline Charged Exfoliating Cleanser (and the Editors of Real Simple picked it as a favorite in the Sept 2008 issue) and the Tourmaline Radiance Fluid, basically any of the Tourmaline products are great. Also, for acne, try the Outer Peace line. And I would not live without Night Nutrients - i swear it heals any issues on my face by morning.

One thing to watch out for when using natural products, there is a higher rate of allergic reactions with them. People are allergic to a lot of different plants!

@krissybee - THANK YOU for compliment on my blog!  I'm so glad you found it helpful and that you enjoyed it.  :)

Also, a little update:I've been using the Carol's Daughter products that I ordered and I love them all, particularly the serum, facial moisturizer (can't remember their exact names right now), as well as their Hair Milk and Honey pomade.  Awesome stuff with all natural ingredients! I'll use it for another week or so before blogging about it, so I can be a little more thorough about my experience with them, but so far two thumbs WAY up for Carol's Daughter products.  They're available at Sephora, or you can also check them out on their website, http://www.carolsdaughter.com.

I really like Origins - the Modern Friction exfoliator is great.  I also use the Night-a-Mins night moisturizer, the Perfect World line of moisturizers and eye cream, and I've tried a few of their masks.  I also like their foundation.  The staff there is really helpful.  While not all of their products are organic, they are plant-based.
